Meet Gercia Kouloungou
More Than Just
Co-Founder of Label Me inclusive, programme coordinator
Gercia co-founded Label Me Inclusive, helping shape it from a broad concept into a focused vision for a platform tailored to supporting students in higher education access early career development opportunities.
As one of just 0.025% of UK residents living with sickle cell disease, she understands how the infrastructure, systems, attitudes and behaviours can negatively impacts on young people’s aspirations and dreams. From access to inclusive medical care, to culturally sensitive community engagement and events to getting the right resources and information needed to thrive with your disability not despite it.
Day to day at MT1L Gercia provides administrative support to the team, from research, to developing resources and offering fresh perspectives in strategy design sessions.
Having begun a degree in international relations and politics, she plans to one day complete her studies. She hopes that for her and countless others Label Me Inclusive will be a resource they can rely on to access career development opportunities directly linked to their course.
